We met at John Lewis where we both worked for over 30 years. With roles in all areas of retail, starting on the shop floor before moving into Buying & Merchandising.
Our last positions were in Trading Support where we worked on a variety of projects, helping to develop the processes which would be used within buying and merchandising teams, designing learning programmes, creating training resources and delivering information & training to individuals and groups of all sizes.
Meet Alex.
An engaging facilitator with a love of training, Alex has huge experience in delivering and creating learning resources for a wide group of retail stakeholders.
If asked, Alex will admit to a special affection for Pricing processes and systems and Business Intelligence, but has built up an extensive knowledge of many Buying and Merchandising tools during her time at John Lewis. Over the years she has worked on & managed the rollout of multiple projects of varying sizes, including the introduction of a company wide product set up system (twice !) and new Pricing legislation impacting a wide range of teams throughout the organisation.
Alex is an approachable trainer, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills who thoroughly enjoys working with teams to find solutions and help them progress. She finds delivering to groups or coaching individuals to help people achieve their goals incredibly rewarding.
Home is in Northwood, where she lives with her lovely husband , 2 super kids and two cats! Alex enjoys fishing (did you say fishing?), reading, shouting support at swimming galas and relaxing with a glass and friends.
Meet George.
With a friendly demeanour which she brings to her training, George will always go that extra mile to ensure that her users feel supported.
Having followed a path from the shop floor at Peter Jones, Sloane Square, through administration roles in store and into Buying & Merchandising, her experience in a number of departments enables her to bring various training examples & situations to life.
As a self confessed Replenishment geek with an analytical mindset, George enjoys getting to the heart of a complex system or process so that she can interpret it for varied audiences. She can often be found investigating new ways of working that will enhance the training experience for her stakeholders.
Home is King’s Lynn in Norfolk, where she moved in 2021 and lives with her husband and cat Buddy (a vital team member!). George enjoys crafting and sewing, she has created a video showing how to make a Fascinator and is trying her hand at gilding so is currently sparkling with gold leaf!
